Constitutional Convention
Motions relating to constitutional amendments may be proposed by State Electorate Councils, Federal Divisional Councils, Regional Conferences, the Policy Standing Committee, the Liberal National Party Women (Queensland) and the Young Liberal Nationals.
In order to facilitate the collation of motions relating to constitutional amendments in a timely fashion, the Party Units listed above are invited to submit motions relating to constitution amendments by 5pm on Thursday, 5 March 2026.
Proposals for constitutional amendment should identify the clause to be amended, and set out any proposed amendments in precise terms, showing any words proposed to be omitted, and indicate any words proposed to be added.
Party Units may also submit a short note explaining the reasons for the proposed change.
A Constitutional Review Committee has been established to collate amendment proposals for submission to the Convention.
To assist the Committee, Party Units are requested to submit the proposed change using the form below.
