Policy Standing Committee

Policy Standing Committee

The LNP Constitution makes provision for a Policy Standing Committee (PSC) and other Policy Committees.

The specific responsibilities of the PSC and Policy Committees are described in clauses M.15 to M.29 of the LNP Constitution and the LNP Policy Committee By-Laws – these documents can be viewed here.

The PSC Chair oversees the work of the other Policy Committees,  of which there are currently 28.  There are also four General Members of the PSC.

The PSC Chair, Policy Committee Chairs and PSC General Members are elected annually at the State Council immediately following Convention for the coming twelve months. This year, the elections will be held on Sunday, 5 July 2026.
